रंग ऐ शहादत - Colour of Martyrdom

At around minight on 26/11 almost entire hostel was gathering in the Television room and switching between various channels to see Mumbai taking grandes and bullets at its heart। one news channel was showing ATSchief Hemant Karkare perparing with his bulletproof jacket minutes before he was gunned down by terrorists. A brave and strong leader who always lead his team from front .

In 60 hours total 14 officers from police, ATS & NSG gave their lives to save innocent people . Will it be enough to only pay tribute to these heroes .... This may be the first of our duty toward these bravehearts but definetly not the last.

बड़ा खूब है ये रंग - ऐ - शहादत

लाल हरा नीला पीला

सब रंग इसके सामने फीके है

इसकी चटक है सुर्ख गुलाब

सादगी सफ़ेद कमल सरीके है

दोस्त ही नही करे दुश्मन भी सलाम

इसे देख हो आरजू - ऐ- इबादत

बड़ा खूब है ये रंग - ऐ - शहादत

नही मिलता ये सारे बाजार

सिर्फ़ नसीबो वाले ही इसे पाते है

नही खेल है ये बच्चों का

इससे खेलने वाले जान पे खेल जाते है

सोना चाँदी हीरे मोती का कुछ मोल नही

शहीद चुकाते है खून से इसकी कीमत

बड़ा खूब है ये रंग - ऐ - शहादत

इस रंग का चोला पहनकर

सरफिरे वतन पर जान गंवाते है

रखने को तिरंगा उंचा हमेशा

हँसते हँसते सर कटवाते है

सिखाया इसने जीना बनकर शान - ऐ - वतन

और मरते दम तक करना हिफाजत

बड़ा खूब है ये रंग - ऐ - शहादत

कभी ये भिगोये माँ का आँचल

कभी बहन की आँख भिगोता है

फिर हो कच्चे धागे या जंजीर कोई

ये सबको दुःख की सुई में पिरोता है

इसे नही परवाह रिश्तो नातों की

सिर्फ़ वतन से हो रश्म - ऐ - मोहब्बत

बड़ा खूब है ये रंग - ऐ - शहादत

चढ़ जाए जिसपे ये रंग

वो मर कर भी अमर हो जाता है

भले ही हो लाखों इन्द्रधनुष यहाँ

ये है पक्का रंग , अलग छाप छोड़ जाता है

इसकी खुशबु रहे हवा में हमेशा

चाहे हो अघाज़-ऐ-जहाँ या मंजर-ऐ-क़यामत

Humse ye jahan hai : The youth of today

Recently I was talking to some one who mentioned that he met one of the young and upcoming singer as well as his father in Singapore airport. at one side where father was ever humble the younger one was very confident to the extend of being a little impolite. I would not justify the behaviour in this particular case but in general I freel there is a change in Indian youth , it has become strong , confident and aggresive unlike old days when it was humble and down to earth. Consider the example of cricket itself , there is a huge difference in the leadership shown by Kapil dev , then by Ganguly and now Dhoni. Youth is ever evolving and depending upon enviornment it becomes strong , bold and confident.

हमसे है ताक़त , हमसे है हिम्मत हमसे ये जहाँ है
दोस्तों हमारे जैसा दुनिया में कोई कहाँ है
जिस जगह हम रुके एक नयी मंजिल बन जाती है
कोई नही है साथ फिर भी सारी दुनिया साथी है
नही इंतज़ार किसी कारवां का हम अकेले बअढ़ते जायेंगे
बदल डालेंगे नक्शे , हर सफर में एक नयी राह बनायेंगे
जो हो हिम्मत तो फिर होगा रब भी साथ किसी ने कहा है

हमसे है ताक़त , हमसे है हिम्मत हमसे ये जहाँ है

बंजर धरती में हम फिर से फूल खिला सकते है
आज जहा है मरुभूमि वहा पर भागीरथी बहा सकते है
जो जिद पे आ जाए तो धरती को आकाश में मिला देंगे
असफलता नही है स्वीकार , हर नामुमकिन को आसान बना देंगे
चुनौतियों को भी हमने दी चुनौती , विजय को जीत लिया है

हमसे है ताक़त , हमसे है हिम्मत हमसे ये जहाँ है

मानवता है धरम हमारा , परसेवा है कर्म हमारा
रहे प्यार और विश्वास इंसान में , ये सदा है प्रण हमारा
जाती पांति और उंच नीच की विषमताओं से हम परे है
सद्भाव और भाईचारे के ध्वज साथ लेकर चले है
एकता और समता का मंत्र हमे स्वयं युगपुरुषों ने दिया है

हमसे है ताक़त , हमसे है हिम्मत हमसे ये जहाँ है
